About the Festival du bonheur de Montréal
The Festival du bonheur de Montréal is an intercultural and intergenerational event dedicated to spreading joy through the collaboration of artists from diverse backgrounds and artistic disciplines, including music, dance, visual arts, and film. Since 2019, the festival has been presented in various Montreal boroughs, fostering inclusion, creativity, and community engagement. The upcoming 7th edition, held during the Week of Action Against Racism, will feature four main components: performances, workshops, film screenings, and an exhibition. The opening show at the Rialto will place a special spotlight on dance, while the exhibition at the MEM – Montreal Memory Centre will showcase zines created by 190 seniors from eight Montreal boroughs in collaboration with 23 artists. The film program will present a selection of short films curated with long-time partner Wapikoni and the emerging-talent-focused RIYFF International Festival, highlighting diverse voices and stories through cinema.
