Launched in 2001, the Festi-Volant de Grandes-Piles in Mauricie is considered the most important winter kite festival in Canada. The guests kite flyers come not only from Québec, but also from all over Canada and the United States. Nestled in the enchanting setting of the Saint-Maurice River, Festi-Volant offers a view of a sky covered with Giant kites, as well as dynamic kite flying and ski-drag demonstrations. A wide range of activities are offered to festival-goers: big slide, igloo labyrinth, snow sculpture, snow scooter, fireworks, playground, costumed characters and much more. The 2022 edition will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the festival, a great event for the whole family!
